Raptor Exhaust
Hi all,
I’m thinking about purchasing a new raptor but I absolutely hate the way the exhaust sounds. I’ve had two ecoboosts in the past (15 xlt and 17 lariat) which I really like how the turbos sound with tuners/more psi but the exhaust on the raptor sounds terrible imo. Is there an exhaust out there that sounds more like a normal f150? Also would the exhaust work on a normal f150 so I could sell the factory raptor exhaust to a non raptor ecoboost? I have a hard time spending $70k on a truck and it not being exactly what I want but if I could swap exhaust and come out around even I might be able to stomach it a little easier.

FWIW the exhaust sound on my Raptor has grown on me and I don't mind it so much any longer, it still doesn't sound as good as my 5.0 F150 with MF exhaust sounded but I like it.

I like the stealth aspect of the ecoboosts. I can drive like a bat out of hell and there’s no obnoxious noise coming from the truck. I’ve had loud trucks and cars in the past and that was cool back then and don’t get me wrong when I get another sports car it will probably be loud but I really like my truck quiet. I’ve always loved the spool of a turbo but the raptor is just too loud and it’s not a good loud. They remind me of the Ram SRT10s back in the day that sounded like a v6 with dual exhaust.

You will never be able to make the V6 sound good. You can make it louder but it will just sound worse. Save your money.

You have two options....
You can remove the current mufflers and get the Walker Quiet Flow mufflers welded in.
Second, you can get the MBRP eco sleeper exhaust. Jessie@MBRP is working on this system.
Both options are very good for making the ecoboost sound non-existent.
