Raptor with 100k miles
Hey guys,
So I've had 3 ecoboosts and am now looking at a base trim Raptor with the 802A package. Its a 2019 with 100k miles for 38k. When I test drove it, it felt great, little soft prob bc the shocks should be serviced but thats about it. When I popped the hood I noticed a decent valve cover leak.
In all your guys' experience, do you feel this is a red flag or bad deal? The dealership agreed to fix it but for some reason Im still kinda salty feeling.
Any input you all have is good input, I appreciate it greatly!

Seems like an ok deal .
I bought my 2020 802A package with 68k miles for $45k - needed brakes, tires and a basic tune up.
I wouldn't shy away because of the valve cover issue, especially if they're going to cover it. These trucks are not completely bulletproof and/or low maintenance, as is the case with any performance vehicle.
Raptors seem to be holding value however the used car market in general seems soft right now.
I'd try to negotiate a bit

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the most common engine complaints for the 2019 Ford F-150 are abnormal ticking or knocking noises, low oil levels, Auto Start-Stop problems, fluid leaks, issues with cam phasers and vehicle stalling.Apr 9, 2024
I have an ‘18. It is now coming up on 70K miles. I’ve had the cam phasers repaired twice (35K & 66K).
I will have the transmission looked at on its next service visit to the dealership.
No issues with sunroof to date but then again it’s always parked in a garage.
