Price Gouging
I'm sure there are many other threads, but extremely disapointing - especially for Bay Area, CA residents to have to put up with BS, disco dancing dealers asking $10,$15, up to $20K over sticker. There are plenty of dealers one state over in NV or AZ that are asking MSRP. With 92k miles on by 2013, I will think twice about visiting any of these scam artists on my next F150. Ford - wake up and show some class with your dealers and shut this crap off. Raptor is a great truck, but like hell I'm going to line the pocket of a car dealer.

I hate to break it to you, but ALL vehicles...especially trucks...are overly priced. That is the car business. They will charge what ever people are willing to pay for it. and if you want a speciality vechile, like a Shelby or Raptor, it is even worse. Last year, the Shelby GT500 was selling here (SC) for ~$95K (MSRP $62ish) and the Ford RS was selling for ~$59K (MSRP $38ish). I was lucky and found my truck at a repo auction for $14K cheaper than any dealership in the southeast.

that's insane but what do you expect in a state where the cost of living is like ten times everywhere else? convince your state and local govt's so stop sucking the life out of people's bank accounts and maybe you'll get better pricing. that dealership has to pay those taxes and the employees gotta live somewhere ya know.

As long as someone is willing to pay what someone is asking it isn't price gouging.
If you want to see price gouging walk into a jewelry store. Only difference is they don't show you list and then mark it up, they just mark it up and tell you that's the list, At least the dealer is being honest.

One dealer local to me is trying to charge $10k over msrp but the other 4 also local are all right at msrp with one being below by $3k. Just gotta shop around and maybe drive a little farther to get the deal you want.

I'm in Florida and actually ended up ordering from a NC dealer just because of bull**** like that.

One of my local dealerships is selling a used 17 with 34k miles asking $88k. I laughed at the salesman so had when I told him I wasn't even going to put and offer in when they are crazy enough to ask that price. Drove real nice though!
