Newbie Raptor Question Please
So I'm in the market for an F150 mostly for my wife who wants a truck. This is much more desire and want than need. We all know that 99 percent of SUV owners, lthough they have off road ability, don't dare venture there. Life has been good to us and we are fortunate to be able to afford what we desire, within reason.
I think the Raptor is both sexy and real bad looking, obviously in a good, no great way. It is both stealth and yet stands out and says look at me to those who know what it is, all traits I like.
I'll bore you no further and get to the heart of my question. Is the Raptor so off road biased that it is not a comfortable on road ride? Are the tires so supplied so off road purposed as to give a lot of road noise on road, great rolling resistance?
If one intends to rarely if ever go off road but wants a somewhat unique badass looking vehicle that is powerful as all get out, should one get a Raptor?
Thank you all for your time
Mark

Stock Raptors are very comfortable and the factory BFGs are nearly silent.

I've been looking at the f150 platinum or king ranch for the 701(?) package available including the tech package, adaptive cruise, parking assist, etc.
Are those available on a Raptor?
Any idea what the base price of a 2017 Raptor will be? More than a Platinum or Limited?
Again, many thanks.

I would guess base would be 55k. Some dealers will tag on a 10k mark up. I'd order one to avoid the mark up and get exactly what you want.

Another question for Raptor owners or those knowledgeable.
In the past with the Raptor, did they sometimes sit on dealer lots waiting for a buyer or was it always a very hot commodity snapped right up? Was it always a custom order?
Just curious if the furor over the new model is what is obviously pumping up the price and whether demand will peter off with time like almost every other vehicle.
Because as much as I'd like to own a Raptor, ain't no way in heck I'd ever pay over invoice for any car or truck. But maybe that's just me.

Once the initial surge is over, the markups will taper off because Ford will build as many as are ordered and dealers won't be limited by original allocation numbers.
I'd find a good dealer and order one. That way you'll get what you want and avoid the lot markup.
