First post and I have a question...
I have 22,000 miles on my 2012 Raptor and I have 4 nearly slick tires. I hate to say this but I have put it in 4wd only once and that was just to make sure it worked.
However, I have run the dog sh@t out of it since day one. I have it tuned with 5star 93 Performance tune with no top limit ,have cat back exhaust, and AFE cold air kit. I average 10.2mpg with it. I also can say I mostly run it on interstates possibly anywhere between 75 and wherever.. (I run a lot late at night when there isn't much traffic and luckily not a ton of LEO's around)
That said, what tire can I buy that will last a bit longer and be a bit quieter than the stock tire. Is there a Michelin or something similar? I still want it to look good. Just need a slightly longer lasting tire and maybe a tiny bit quieter..
I love the raptor, I especially like it when I am on the road and smaller kids give it a thumbs up. Or when I drop out to pass and you can see people grin. (at least some of them do).
I do use it to pull my motorcycle trailers. And I do carry a few people with me when I go to the mountains to ride motorcycles. So I guess I can justify the power and space. Maybe not the 4WD. But you never know. Its there just in case I need it..... :-)

Well you definitely could've gotten a Lariat, or FX4, etc.
kind of disgraceful to own a raptor for 22k miles and only use 4WD once. Just my opinion lol. Because I would KILL to own a raptor and offroad daily if I could. But hey it's your money. Maybe go look at some MICHELIN LTX or Goodyear Duratrac

just replacing the BFGs with non-raptor BFGs will increase tire life. the raptor specific versions have a pretty soft compound so they tend to wear relatively fast. as far as sound, less aggressive tread is the only way to be more quiet.

I found the Toyo Open County A/T 2. It comes in a 35/12.50/17
Problem is, I cant find anyone that has it in stock.
It has a 65,000 mile tread wear warranty. I know you can't even get close to that but even half would be great. Has anyone used them before? And does anyone know if there are any available anywhere?
