Default New exhaust option for 2019 raptor

I just traded my 17 black raptor for a 19 ruby red metallic raptor. I know I am going to get put down for making this comment , but I have grown to actually like the sound of the high performance 3.5 L engine in the raptor. Yes I have owned a few naturally aspirated v-8's, including a 2017 GT 350, which I currently own.

I was just wondering if anybody has bought and installed a ford performance exhaust ( Borla sport) or even the Borla ATAK exhaust and if they have, do they like the sound from the new exhaust and is it worth it ? I have listened to them on youtube, but I am still having a hard time making up my mind. Would appreciate any advice from raptors with modified exhausts. Thank you.

How you liking that 3.5 HO? How long can you do a burnout in that thing?

I really like the engine. Love the torque down low and the truck is very fast. I have driven the 5.0 v-8 in the platinum, and personally I like the 3.5 HO better. I have also owned other V-8's as well. Again as far as the exhaust note, I like it. This is my second 3.5 L HO Engine and I love it. As far as burnouts, I have not done any yet.

Eh. I'm not a big fan of borla's exhaust for turbo v6's. Borla has always been a "v8 exhaust" company. They don't know how to get the good sound turbo motors are capable of.

when I think good sounding ecoboost, I think the heartthrob 4" cat-back...……..but it's not for the raptor unfortunately. I'll keep my eyes/ears peeled for a good-sounding raptor exhaust, but the borla ain't it, IMO.

Thank you very much ! I really wanted to stick with a ford performance exhaust, which would be the Borla sport or a roush performance exhaust. I guess I will stay stock.

Thats good to hear. The only good sounding exhaust out there for 6cyl engines are MBRP but they can be a bit ricey sounding. Then again almost all exhaust for a 6 sounds that way stock may be the best bet.

Yep. I think you are right. I will say the Borla Atak does not sound bad, but I just am not sure. I actually like the sound the way it is. I know it is enhanced, but it is the actual engine sound just piped in.

I think if I did anything right now, it would be the ATAK.

go online and listen to American Muscle's video of the Heartthrob 4" cat-back for the 3.5 ecoboost. You'll be surprised. It sounds good. Course, it's not meant to sound like a V8, either.

I have the Raptor exhaust on my '16 XLT 3.5 eco complete with the Raptor downpipes and the Corsa resonator delete x-pipe. I am very happy with the sound. No drone and sounds good when getting on it. Sure, the wife's '08 Shelby GT Mustang probably sounds better but, to me, it is noisier than my truck, if you understand what I mean.

I would love to have a Raptor and the only thing I would change would be to install the Corsa x-pipe. It's a straight forward install. But for now I will have to be happy with my Raptorized XLT.

I keep hoping a rich uncle will leave me the money to buy a Raptor. Problem is, I don't have any Uncles or Aunts, rich or otherwise.
