New 2015 Raptor
#12
Couple questions, first off, those who bought a Raptor, would you have waited if you had known they were going to stop making them in 2014? Or would this prompted you to hurry and get one before there are none left. I am talking new, brand new. Not used. Reason is I am hoping to get a Raptor but I am afraid I might be to latewhen I finally get the funds to pull the trigger. As for time line I should be able to pick one up in April no later than mid may.

Ford dealer told me (last Saturday) that Ford is still taking orders on new build Raptors (2014). I don't know how long they will be taking orders on new builds

I bought one of the first 6.2's in Northern Virginia so I'm not one for waiting. If you are having to round up money then at least consider buying a low mileage used or a demo. The Raptor is a killer vehicle and is tons of fun but if you wheel it at all you will want to make some upgrades - those upgrades are pretty spendy.

Dealers right now are running out of their allocations and can no longer order them. Quite a few are giving up and just paying full sticker for a deal. Funny to think paying that and considering you got a good deal. But I've already considered doing that myself as I didn't think I would get one and would be fine paying it, with no regrets. If you are going to get one, I would not wait too much longer.

Based on various things I'm seeing, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Ford shifted gears a bit and offered the Raptor capability as a package - IE, you pick your trim, engine, etc then add say 10k for the Raptor package.
The 2.7eco that recently ran Baja had narrow track control arms but ran Raptor spec coilovers. That means Ford has redesigned the control arms to offer more travel in a non Raptor configuration.
I'd be first in line for a 3.5Eco RCSB, 4x4, XL trim (no frills) with Raptor spec suspension.
