need new Catalytic converter
I'm trying to look into buying a new Catalytic converter for my truck. I'm throwing a lean air code and have had the plugs,wires,o2 sensors, maf, trottle body, intake and gasket, sensor on the side of the intake, ECM, all replaced. Checked fuel pressure and checked for vacuum leaks. About the last thing I can think of is a cat. the truck runs fine for the most part but at highway speeds it seems to almost shutter. and at heavy acceleration it seems to shutter around 2k rpm. I just don't know if I should get a $800 oem cat or if I can buy a magnaflow and just have it welded on or should I just take it off and put in a pipe to eliminate it.

Now we are no experts at F150 diagnostics, but normally a failed cat will produce a "catalyst system efficiency below threshold" code or something of the sort. Have you checked anything on the fuel side like the injectors, fuel filter, etc for clogs?

No cloggs in fuel side, puzzeling i have power to the purge, and the fuel pump will prime the system every time, the fuel pump dosnt contiue pumping after its starts, so it dies after the guages cycle and then flashes check the brake message. Since its not running a trip to a muffler shop isnt likely at this point.
