At the 80-90k price point you'd be money ahead buying a modded gen 1 - for that kind of coin the gen 2 would be woefully outclassed.

Of course.

But the buyer for a 90k gen 1 is not the same as a 90k gen 2. A 90k gen 2 buyer is spending that to be the first to have it. (Paying the idiot tax I call it) A 90k gen 1 buyer is looking for all out performance.
