Default I'm Back, My 3rd F-150

Somehow today, I just felt like it was time to change something things around in the garage.

Got this today but doesn't fit in the garage, so things didn't really get moved around. But there is now a 2013 raptor on my front lawn.

My last f-150 was a 2012 FX4
Before that a 1991 4x4 F-150

I know very little about the raptor other than it is amazing to drive so far.
Any common issues? Any important things, I need to know about them?

Can't wait to take it off-roading.

Nice looking ride...check out FRF and you'll get loads of Raptor info...careful, you'll burn a whole through your pocket just in mods...but it's well worth it!

What do you plan on using the truck for? It has a fairly low payload and isn't the best for gas mileage. other than that I'm sure it's a beast.

Gas mileage isn't horrible with a tune. On my 13 Eco I averaged 13.8 mpg combined (also tuned). I'm at 12.9 on the Raptor. The Raptor has the same mileage now as the Eco had when I got rid of it. My driving habits haven't changed either.

Got it dirty today. The previous owner never ever took it off road. There wasn't an ounce of dirt anywhere, the under carriage looked new and, there so no dirt in the box frame. Well now there is.

Im comming from fx4 ecoboost with 3:73's my average of 14.5-15.5. Raptor is currently at 12.4. So at 15,000 miles a year my ecoboost was costing $3500 @ 3.50. Raptor is 4,235. That's 735 dollars extra if you drive the Raptor. That's like 61 extra dollars a month for gas. That's nothing. Also, I don't drive anywhere near 10,000 miles a year.
Big trucks get bad mileage period. Also, towing is 8,000 lbs. That's really good. Most people rarely tow that much. Also, I'm sure that it will tow more with doing damage as long as one drives safely and conservatively. Raptor is awesome.

Amen. I'll take the Raptor for the extra $15 a week any day, and that's even running premium 91 gas too.

I'm running 15 to 16 mpg (US), which is not much worse than the 5.0 I had in an FX4.

Congrats on the new ride, looks sharp in Race Red.
