I really want it!!!!! HELP!

I bought a new 2016 Lithium Grey XLT with the 3.5 ecoboost. It has pretty much every option...FX4, Roof, Sport Nav, etc etc sticker was 51k now .with 15000 mi...perfect truck..I drove by the local mega Ford Mart today and there it was.... the world ceased to exist. Thinking 2nd mortgage or what ever cause my first son is grown and gone so that's not an option.....Just off the truck a Magnetic Metallic Raptor sticker 67K. I'm going in the am and see what they'll do. I've heard of dealer mark ups and some discounts...My truck is payed off....any help greatly appreciated....

Go buy it.

Going to be 40k plus your trade I'd guess.

Ouch... I was thinking more around 34,000. We'll see tomorrow but 40k is way too much for my wallet

Hey man, I'm not Nostradamus, but I'd predict that if you're buying a '18 Raptor you'll experience right around 50% depreciation after 7 years. After that it'll probably really flatten out. So if you're buying in for the long haul, like 10years+, it's not too bad compared to the other super mass produced F150's. I'd say just make sure to get the extra Ford full warranty (not aftermarket), get it for as long as it'll go for.

Not sure where you're at, but I know sales tax and registration here in Kaliforniastan is the only thing preventing me from getting one right now.

I could see finalizing at $32k or $33k for the trade in (and they'll make $4K on it).

Or somewhere in between most likely. Keep us posted.

Going to come down to a numbers game. How much are you willing to spend plus your trade? Figure out what that number is and stick too it. Do not let them know how much you want a Raptor. Be prepared to walk out.

So, how'd it go?

Trade is $30 on low end and $33k on high. The sales tax where you live is going to be a big part of where you end up but before tax and fees $34-35 ++ difference. They won't start there but I am pretty sure if they want to sell it they will be pretty close.

wow thats low, we are looking at 80k for a new raptor, even saw a 2014 going for 50 k!
