Default How many are drilling the weep hole in the intercooler?

As the title states, how many are doing it? It doesn't seem that Ford addressed this yet. 11-14 have this issue, 15/16 trucks are now beginning to have the problem and I can't find where Ford made a change to the 17 intercooler to combat the condensate buildup.

Where have you seen that the 15+ are having this issue?

You will probably get more responses in the 15+ section. But as a 15+ owner.. I havent seen any threads on this. We have had one 2.7 owner drain his IC and it had nothing to be concerned about.

I've been following the 2015+ for awhile now. It would be best to check the 2015+ section. Just because no one posts about it doesnt mean it doesnt exist, but I have yet to see any complaints on the 2015s. From what i've read the 15+ intercoolers are less efficient and don't have the same condensation issues as the 11-14.

On other forums - seeing the same misfire questions that the 11-14 people were bringing up.
Side note, if you pull the intercooler, you most likely won't find anything in it. It builds while driving and gets passed through under acceleration.

The 17 f150s and Raptors have the GEN 2 ecoboost motor. I haven't heard anyone with any problems with them

Please share the link. I'd love to read up on it.

The best thing on the 17' is that the dual fuel injection will put the Carbon buildup issues to bed. The 2.7 is supposed to be getting dual injection for 2018 as well.

Check out the other f150 forums - they are out there.
The f150 ecoboost changes for 17 do not fix the previous generation issues of ecoboost condensate buildup.

Really? Have not fixed the issue. The 17s just made it to consumers?.

I'm on f150ecoboost and this forum nothing came up on a search. The 2.7 uses the same intercooler so I'm interested if you have some links before I put a hole in my Ic pipe.
