How does Raptor ride on road?

Jamesh46 did they have any issue with alignment afterwards. I'm worried about alignment, one dealer said they would not be able to align. Another said they should be able to do so. He told me they do level spacers and lifts and have no issues. I then told him it was a pre load collar on a raptor and the look on his face .

RPG said that for the 1.5" perch collar you do not need adjustment - however, Southern Off Road told me that they advised it as the truck would be heavy on tyres if I didn't. They suggested I also order 2x to allow them to adjust it.
I also run an Audi Q5 that I lowered by 2.5" and didn't do alignment - that thing chewed through some very expensive rubber in not a long time so I took the advice of Southern Off Road.
They gave me a before and after alignment reading - I've shared it for you to help you decide. They charged me $420 to fit the perches, the adjustable mounts and do the alignment - which is not much more than I was quoted elsewhere just to fit the perches.

I just test drove a new raptor this week for the first time. I've always wanted one and with this new generation I had planned on getting one. Many dealers now have them in stock and ready to go. I found one optioned up how I wanted it and in the colors I would have ordered. All seemed good until.....
Now the bad part. I was so excited to drive this truck and expected it to be buttery smooth on the roads. I was shocked that the truck was very bumpy on roads that were not great but at the same time, not horrible either. Every bump was amplified as it oscillated too so it wasn't just the first "hit" of the bump you felt but an oscillation of 3 or 4 more right after in quick succession as the suspension tried to deal with it. Like every bump had a a set of instant "aftershocks".
I was blown away by how rough it was. Immediately disappointed. I knew in the first mile the Raptor wasn't for me. My X5M with run flat tires - which are generally harsher than regular tires - rides orders of magnitude smoother. It lacks the beefy suspension, coils and shocks that the Raptor does as well as the big fat tires. I simply don't understand how the Raptor was this harsh on public streets.
I test drove a Lariat FX Supercrew right after to see how that compared. It was significantly better and FAR more livable for street driving. I'm now looking at a very loaded up Lariat build at 65k.
The Raptor was so unpleasant over typical bumps on the street I just could not see daily driving it even a limited amount let alone taking it on any longer drive.
It was really a disappointing day for me. I had wanted a Raptor for so many years now and was ready to get the deal done this week and now not so much. I always LOVED how the Raptor looked and love the new one as well. I guess my X5M is either incredible on the road and spoiled me or the Raptor really is a rough and tumble ride on the street.
Anyway, now it is a long wait until the 2018's are built so have some time to see if I want to do any aftermarket to the Lariat when it comes in. I did the Lariat all blacked out, black wheels with FX4 package, 3.5L ecoboost and just about every option you can get. Will at least try to get a little bit of a street/dirt warrior out of it.

Did you notice what the tire pressure was? I'd suspect it was abnormally high. I would test drive the truck again, and make sure the tires are set to 38PSI, before making your decision.

I did not check the pressure but I can go back and do so or ask the Rep to check it today. On raptor can you get PSI through the infotainment screen or does it have to be done manually?

Mine were 50psi when I took delivery. According to the sticker on the door jam they should be 38psi.
Several others on the Raptor forum also reported their tires being over inflated upon delivery.
