Werner Aluminum Work Platform

You can get at lowes or home depot, around 30$ for regular 60 for heavy duty. I have the heavy duty. I do get in the bed, then I have one of these on each side. Doing a two bucket wash top down. these let you get all the top and all the windows and the hood really good.

I will say I had the same monthly pass for my previous Lariat that must've seen hundreds of washes and the crappy Ford paint was barely phased. Nothing a good polish and wax couldn't cure.
I can say that I had my last vehicle for 6 years. It frequently got compliments from clients/customers that thought it was a new vehicle...when it was 4, 5, and 6 years old.

It was put through the automatic car wash weekly, or at least every other week if it was a rainy week or something.

It was never hand washed...not once. I don't have time for that. I'd hand wash a Ferrari or Lamborghini....well, actually not...if I had Ferrari money, I'd pay someone to hand wash a Ferrari or Lamborghini!!!

My point is, if you have a good car wash place nearby, you can save yourself some time. If you are lucky enough to be retired and just need something to fill your time....then spending 2 or 3 hours a week cleaning/detailing/waxing a truck is great exercise and very productive.

6 years of automatic car washing didn't hurt my Dodge...and surely Ford paint is better than Dodge paint!

About 2 ft tall and I am little over 6 ft. I can reach past the center of the roof and windshield from the side. So I can overlap. I do get up in the bed as it gives me the greatest reach but I still can't reach front of roof from there. I then get on these to do what I couldn't reach from bed. Then also the hood. They also make nice seats for when detailing rims and tires.

I don't have a pic of me using them but found this online. This is the platform in action

Was reading the owner's manual (specifically the 2018 Raptor Supplement Booklet) and it says not to use an automated car wash where your vehicle is moved along by the left wheel conveyor roller because they aren't setup for the wider track of the Raptor.

I'm sure there are some that the Raptor will fit but that's what the book says.

My Raptor fits just fine in the car wash. The two things that need to be done before hand,
is fold in the mirrors, and remove the antenna. The 315 KO2's fit just fine in the track.
FYI- I did notice a ton of cloth fibers from the wash brushed stuck on the rough surface of the running boards.

It's not that it is bigger, Hand washing is much better on paint in general. The cloth in the automatic wash basically picks up contaminants from all the other cars. Ever look at your wheels and see how much brake dust is on there before you wash it. You loose that brake dust going down the road, not to mention sand and dirt all trapped in the little tears and stuff put in like Dcam says he seen fibers from there. All that little stuff does micro scratches to the paint which over time leaves your truck looking dull and lifeless. Not to mention the damage to the vinyl graphics and the plastic parts. Doing a hand washing with a 2 bucket wash with dirt guards is going to do wonders for the life of your truck. Apply a good wax or sealant and your truck will look like new forever. I mean seriously as much as you paid for them, isn't spending an hour or so giving it s good wash on the weekend to take care of it much better than going to a drive through and scratching the heck out of it.

Most people don't notice because it happens slowly over time until the truck is dull and lifeless.

Ordered it while away on vacation and came home to it in my garage. Haven't unpacked it yet, but it looks perfect. Thank you, sir.
