Just got my tags in for the raptor after 5 months. Long freaking story but well worth the wait. It expires in 2022. I wish other states would do that. I plan on keeping this for awhile.

We have to do it annually in Maine. If it was an option, it would cost me an arm and a leg for 4 year tags. They raped me for $1200 for one year tags on my 2017 Raptor.
However, its cheap on older vehicles. It only costs me about $110 each for my Bronco and Grand National.

We Oregonians are lucky - I just got my renewal notice for my '94 - $112 for 2 years. I remember back not too long ago when it was $80, and even longer ago only $40 for two years. And no emission laws unless you live in the Portland city limits. I think they only give you 4 years when you buy new.

When I lived in California back in 1995, I paid $236 per year for tags for a Honda Civic hatchback.

Things have stayed about the same here in California, just paid $391 last year for the truck. Funnily enough, I've been thinking of making the move up to Oregon for the past 2 years or so. Leaning towards Bend as of right now.

I would recommend Southern Oregon too. Medford or Grants Pass area. Lots of transplanted Californians down there. Climate is a little less shocking. Bend winters can be rough.

I live in the Eugene/Springfield area and love it. It's just far enough away from everything and yet also within a 90 minute drive of everything.

$64 a year in Weakley co. TN, but it's on an annual basis. I think once upon a time (they may still do it) Illinois offered customized plates at no extra cost.
