Front End Grinding Noise

I had the dealer order the vacuum line check valve and it came in Monday. Waiting on a time to get it in and get my oil changed. Likewise hoping this takes care of it....

I dropped my truck off today to get the vacuum line Check valve replaced and my oil changed. We'll see what happens after that. Hope all will be good!

So I dropped my 2017 Ford F-150 XLT off at the dealer today after speaking with the service manager on Friday. I tell him what I believe is going on and show him posts from this message board as to possible fix. He tells me that he has never come across this problem before and the information I am giving him is for Ford Raptors.
I tell him that my truck basics, engine, 4wheel drive etc...are similar to a Raptor. He is not buying my story.
Service manager calls me up just now, technician did hear the sound and that he owes me an apology. It is the vacuum check valve that is causing your problem. So hopefully they got it right.

Grinding noise.
Anybody else experiencing a grinding noise coming from the front? It appears to be as if the front end drive system is trying to engage. It only does it occasionally, so when I took it to the dealer, it would not do it. Most of the time it happens when you are starting to take off, but it will do it at say 50-60 mph too. They greased the front end and changed a sensor, but it is still doing it. I read on the other Raptor Forum that a few others are having the same issue. One dealer changed an actuator..... Not sure if that's the same thing as the sensor they changed on mine or not. I am going to head back in to talk to the tech about it. I wondered if anyone on this forum is having the same issue. I would be shocked if they aren't.

Could be a glide pin on the brake system. They will stick in cooler weather. Pull brakes apart, and pull glide pins out of boots. Wipe off and re grease with brake high temp grease. Replace rubber glide pin boots. Cheap easy fix.
