What are you paying for insurance?
Just got off another Raptor site where this question was asked.
I can't believe the bucks some are paying for auto insurance on their Raptors.

Lots of variables go into what folks pay: State, driving history, deductibles, current accidents, ALL claims, etc...... Mine went down considerably once I left State Farm after 30 plus years.

Depends also on what coverage you have and in large part where you live. Many years ago I moved to the burbs from Brooklyn, NY. Same car, a Volvo 740 turbo, made the trip.
Rate in Brooklyn at the time: $1800 per year.
Rate in the burbs: $600
Insurance companies also gauge your rates on your FICO score, so if you've got lousy credit, be prepared to pay up the wazoo.
Now I pay about a grand a year for each car. The Raptor is cheaper to insure by a couple hundred over the Porsche I traded in for it.

Don't know if its against the rules to post links to another forum.
Here's what some Raptor owners are paying according to the other forum.
I standardized the payments on a per year basis.
*The person paying $10620/yr. was asked a couple times to confirm.
I seriously doubt someone is paying that much.
So i deleted it from the average $cost/yr.

total = $9378
$1563 Average/yr.
After seeing those numbers, I consider myself lucky considering i pay about $800/yr. for 4 vehicles including my '2016 XLT and '2014 Jeep with full coverage. The other two, liability only.
For comparison, gonna call my insurance to see what a '18 Raptor would cost over an '18 XLT similar to my '16.

Maybe no tickets and no accident involvements last 27yrs. and a 820 credit score helps a little i guess.
I don't think $800/yr. is too much or too little for my situation.
Thank you radar detector with the tickets though! lol.
I did hit a deer or more accurately it hit me with my then new '16 XLT with only some 1100 miles on it.
Just a bent bumper with my insurance only coughing up $500 deductable for a new bumper.
Apparently they blew it off as an 'Act of God'.
By the way i'm with Geico and also have my home insurance with them which also helps reduce the rate.
Now on to see how much more my insurance will cost if a 2018 $65k Raptor would replace my XLT.
Guessing it'll be a good dollar hit especially if i add a replace clause.
Still on the fence holding out for a V-8 2019 Raptor. I really like my 5.0!
