ok Eco Boost raptor I want one so bad, hopefully ford does come out with one. i'll buy it 100%

It won't happen with this generation F150. Word is the 13's are it for the Raptor until after the redesign.. but who knows for sure.

I got 2 years and 4 months of payments left on my truck, by then they could have an ecoboost 5.0L

an ecoboost 5.0? doesnt that kill the whole "eco" part? The ecoboost is a twin turbo v-6 that gets very good MPG... twin turbos on a 5.0 would be AWESOME but not very "eco"

I don't care for a super powerful truck i'd love an Ecoboost raptor something throw the dirt bike and sled in to haul around and drive on dirt roads and do it smoothly maybe even have a little fun.

I feel like a eco 4.0 would be perfect for the raptor! just a little more displacement for moving it around, but with better milage than the giant lumbering 6L it has now.

Its a Raptor (6.2 liter) and was built for an intended purpose, so if poor fuel mileage is going to keep all the people who are going to street queen the truck from buying it, then I hope they never change the engine.:D
I currently own an eco and get 13.6 mpg with 34.5" tires, but I don't drive it trying to save gas either. I love my fx4, for its intended purpose to, but I can't wait to get my raptor.

Nicely said brother..X2. I still say the FX4 is the best looking truck on the market..BAR NONE.....Nothing come close.

I like things normally aspirated...Safe...no way on turbo's..been there and done that. If I am going to huff my Raptor, I'm going with a wipple charger. I really see no need to do this though...plenty of torque and power as it is. Dyno at rear wheels just pulled 356.4hp and 383.1 ft/lbs torque. That's about 445hp and 482hp at the crank with no mods other than a tune and exhaust. How much more do you really need? Serious off road racing guys will tell you HP is a killer when you have too much. Suspension is more important. That's what makes you go fast off road...not HP. Go to the Ford SVT site for a article on this. Turbo's suck fuel like a pig under a load, run hot, are moisture sensitive. lubrication sensitive, etc. For a street queen I would definitely say the EB will rule the street in the years to come...For towing and doing heavy work, the 6.2 or diesel is the way to go. If they put a diesel in a F-150 I'm on it. I wish Ford had partnered with Isuzu like GM did. The Duramax is a decent motor.

Gas mileage on my Raptor? 12 in town... 15 Highway unless I am towing and then I am looking at 11-12mpg's rolling at 80MPH. (with a big smile on my face)
