That is a rather large dog.

I don't particularly care for the look of caps on trucks either.

But I will prob be putting one on next year too. Just one of those the usefulness of it outweights the looks.

I would rock the hell out of a cap. I think they add an element of security to a bed that you don't get with a cover (soft). If its removed easily, you get the cargo room of an SUV and the utility of a truck.

That being said- I think you need to calm down a little, speeddemon. This is the internet. This forum exists because people post problems, modifications, opinions, questions, etc. Feel free to use the "preview" function where you hover your cursor over a thread title to get a preview of the first post. If its not something that you like to read, kindly move along. I don't need that attitude sprayed all over new members.

I'd love to have a cap for my truck. I think they look good (at least the nicer models) and I hate how little I can fit under my Bakflip G2 tonneau with my short bed.

Hey Harleyfan, I resemble that remark! It's all good, I lol all the way to the bank with my royalty checks. You may not know this, but I was the inspiration for Toby Keith's megahit 'As good as I once was'.

Actually the dog isn't that big, I'm a dwarf (we prefer to be called Little People). Have to drive my truck with wooden blocks strapped to my pedals. You might know me best as Oompa Loompa #4 in "***** Wonka & The Choclate Factory" (1971). That blue paint was a mother to get off!

TIGGER is looking over my sholder as I sit at my desk to type this. He gets a real kick out of riding in the back of our truck. Everyone have a nice day. PEACE!

ME.... New here on the forum but just had to jump in on this one....

Mine also was primarily for the dogs, I have two Akitas, But i don't think it looks too bad and if I ever get tired of it ... it comes right off.

its a Leer 100XL and the fit to the truck is perfect... i have gotten many compliments on the combo.

Beautiful dog Harley Screw. What part of Pittsburgh are you from? I live in Washington County and mainly work in the south hills. I'd have to think I would remember a truck that looked that good if I saw it running around though. Looks good.

Hey dja,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm in the Mon Valley area, near Kennywood Park. I've had the truck since April, but work in Westmoreland County, so it spends most of its time out there. First winter coming soon, so lookin forward to see how this combo works out. Hoping for the best.

Hey Berserker, Like the look of your Leer cap out back. Went with the 180 mid-rise for the extra head clearance with Tigger. Diggin that beach scenery. Must be nice! Maybe I'll start a 'Picture of your cap' thread.

Take Care,
HarleyScrew

Funny thing.... I am from the Burgh area also, living in Irwin now and frequently drive 837 past Kennywood on the way to work in the Northside.

The beach scene was down at OBX ... took the Raptor down there a couple times to blast it on the beach Last time there a Sheriff on a quad pulled me over for having too much fun.

Your truck does look great, like the flares... I'll have too keep an eye out for you when i'm cruising through the area..
