if its his money and his truck, what difference does it make.
if it suits his needs or wants, so be it. I am not a fan of caps on trucks either, but ya know what, if you look in my driveway at this very moment, ya know what you will see? a 2012 reg cab F150 with a cap on it. ya know why, because it works well for me when I go camping or on road trips.
truth be told, unfortunately the vast majority of raptors are going to be mall crawlers and were bought simply because the look cool, very very few of them will get used for what they were intended for. heck, how many F150's in general get used for what a truck was designed for to begin with? the owner may need a truck with a cap on it and just decided he wanted a raptor to start with. maybe he uses the truck to hunt. maybe he is building an expedition rig and a cap adds the storage area he needs.
it basically the same thing as the raptor pic on here a while back that had big blingy wheels and low profile tires. in the end, who cares, its their truck and their money, who are you to judge what they do with it?

Not a Raptor, but I'll give my two cents worth. My Leer 180 Mid-Rise cap primarily functions as a four season mobile dog house. My best buddy 'Tigger' goes with me everywhere I go. It has a front slider window, and coupled with the power cab slider, allows him to get some warm or cool air depending on the weather. Gotta get a picture of his melon-sized head sticking through into the cab.
Using your addage, maybe I should call this a Harley Capidson Edition.
Here are a couple pics for your review.
