Bought a wreck
#11
Got all the old apron pieces off. It took a bit to figure the best way to get the rivets out. Drilling is tricky as the face of the rivet does not center punch well and is so hard it dulled new bits extremely fast. The best way I found was to just cut open the soft aluminum enough to get my grinder on them.

Got a little further. I got all apron pieces and hood and fenders jammed. One issue I had was placing new rivets as I did not punch out the old ones I had to locate between the old

I’ve been taking care of the small meticulous stuff like repairing damaged wiring and setting hood gaps. All in all the truck looks the same now as some of the last pictures due to me pulling the fenders back off to paint once the hood was set. I will post some good shots once I get paint on fenders. This has been my project after the kids go to sleep so work goes a bit slow. Also have been fighting key fob issues after I had the truck battery run low then disconnected for several days. Now my truck won’t recognize the fob unless I stick it in the slot used for when fob battery dies. HVaC’ and some radio controls are also now not working.
