Bought a wreck
I thought I would journal the rebuild of a 17 raptor I purchased as a total. The basics are, 2017 with 15k on the clock. No bags popped and everything seems to measure out fine so seems no frame damage. Purchased the truck for 41k. After hauling and buying what I believe is all the parts and paint I need I sunk another 3k in parts and will have the windshield replaced after I get everything back. I have rebuilt several lightly damaged cars in years past but never anything like the aluminum body.

Yes it will have a rebuilt title once road worthy and inspected by the state.
amazing it is a total as the truck seems to run and drive fine. Hopefully most trouble lights will clear once I get damaged impact sensors, air box and front cameras back on line

A friend of mine bought a salvage 2017 Raptor, had 21K on it, he did good, flipped it for $8K profit, one thing he did though was replace the oil pan even though it looked fine, apparently he said its a problem in the 17 raptors???

Got all the old apron pieces off. It took a bit to figure the best way to get the rivets out. Drilling is tricky as the face of the rivet does not center punch well and is so hard it dulled new bits extremely fast. The best way I found was to just cut open the soft aluminum enough to get my grinder on them.
