Should I buy a raptor?
I’m considering one of three things. Do I:
1) buy a new Raptor? They’re obviously amazing trucks. They look great, handle great. Likely the best all-around truck on the market.
2)buy a F250? Likely a Platinum. This truck is huge. Likely too big, but I do prefer the longer bed length. I’m not as big of a fan of how they drive on-road. Too floaty, doesn’t feel as refined. I don’t tow enough to justify a super-duty.
3) keep my f150 platinum? Upgrade the suspension and wheels/tires? This would get me excited about my truck again. This may be the smartest thing financially...
What would you do? Spend my money...

had exactly same dilemma. what resolved it for me was the fact that I could not find Raptor at MSRP or below and there is no way I am paying over sticker. not happening. so in the end.. I kept my Plati as is and got me a short term lease on a very nice BMW M4 convertible

With a nice set of shocks and some other upgrades, I bet you could get your platinum to ride much nicer. The stock suspension really sucks on these trucks and even just a $350 set of Bilstein 5100's makes a solid difference. A good set of coilovers in the front, matching shocks in the rear, and maybe a raptor leaf pack on the back would be awesome.

2016 Lariat 5.0
Similar dilemma here, but substitute the Platinum for a Lariat. I've just been keeping an eye out for a used '17 or '18 raptor, because I really don't want to drop $65 - $70k on a new 802a. After having a 502a Lariat there are too many options you wouldn't want to lose by going to a 800a or 801a.
My 2 cents; either go all out and order a new one exactly the way you want it (only way to go when spending that amount of money), or be patient for the used market to turn something up.

More and more are showing up on FB by dealers practically begging folks to buy them at MSRP.

I’m currently at a Landrover dealer. They have a fully loaded 2018 sticker 72k raptor with 8k miles for $68k. Looking to trade my 17 platinum if they give me good trade in value. Should I pull the trigger?
