Default 2019 blown engine

My friend's 2019 somehow lost too much oil although he did not see and puddles or smell any burning and now Ford is installing a new longblock. Anyone else heard of this?

Did he ever bother to check the oil every now and then?

Is this a 5.0 litre? And ya did he check oil?
How much oil do you have to lose before warning lights start to chime?

I maybe wrong here but I don't think Raptor ever had 5.0 on Gen 1 or 2.

The Gen 1’s came with either a 5.7L or 6.2L. And, of course, the Gen 2 doesn’t come with the 5.0.

Shortly after purchasing my truck, I stumbled across a thread where folks were reporting their Raptors oil level wasn’t filled properly from the factory. I was shocked to read owner after owner reporting low oil levels on the day of purchase. I immediately went out and checked mine... and now I check weekly.

No it is a 3.5 as all 2019 are I believe. Yes he did check the oil and no warning lights or bells.

My '19 Raptor was about one pint low when I got it from the Dealer and it's not the first new vehicle I've bought that was not completely full when I picked it up.
It's definitely a good idea to check oil regularly on a new engine to make sure you know if it's loosing oil for whatever reason.
