Has anybody taken their Raptor back to the dealer for rusty exhaust tips? I just noticed yesterday on how bad they look. Haven’t had a chance to go to the dealer yet, but hope to within the next week. Just wondered if anybody had dealt with it and what they did. I didn’t have that issue with my ‘17.

That's very odd. I used to sell these and never had that issue. I was also based out of California, so the trucks there never had any weather issues.

Did you buy the truck in Indiana? Or did you get it shipped from somewhere else?

It's the area he lives in most likely. Cali weather is a lot like Florida where I live. My 12 year old exhaust looks better than his. No road salts or brine to deal with.

I bought it from the local dealer in Indiana as I did my ‘17. Didn’t have issues with the ‘17, so it appears that the exhaust tips are not the same.

they look like they need to be cleaned and polished with some wenol before we see if they're rusting !

Wow, that is horrible. My 17's look dirty after just a high pressure rinse, no soap or cleaner. They still look better than these. I would be talking to the dealer. Totally wrong.

I used some fine steel wool on them, and with some elbow grease, they cleaned up pretty good. So far so good.

I'm also seeing some rust on the edges of my tips, not as bad as that. Mine is a 19, purchased 1/19, but I did travel to Utah so now have 17k miles. Live in NY. I choose not to dwell on it.
