2017 Ford Raptor Supercrew

Seeing some of those interior shots definitely makes me excited for this thing. Was considering a load Platinum or King Ranch (mainly for the leather since everything else is available in a 502A Lariat) but seeing all of the 502A Lariat items I would like to have (as well as the wife) with the added benefit of already having a solid offroad suspension system and tires in place (vs. doing them aftermarket) is really really appealing (especially if it's around the same price). I'm a little leery of being a tester of a new 10 speed transmission though, but will be in need of a truck at the end of this year regardless, so it may be order a '16 Plat/KR or wait another month and order a '17 Raptor and take my chances with the transmission. Right now, the latter is pulling me in.

We got a Doctor here in town that drives a Raptor.
Sorry but I will not pay for anything more than a XLT.
And I get them at the end of the year on sale.
Trucks are costing too much money.

They gave it to the EcoDiesel basically based on how quiet and smooth it is, that's about it.
The slag the durajunk because it's a pricey option and yet the ecodiesel is $1570 MORE to upgrade to in the Ram and "they wouldn't mind paying the price", lol.
Oh and they pull 9k trailers with the other two, but they can't even pull that with the ecodiesel as it is beyond its rating.
They also state that the Ecodiesel can't match the power and torque of the Cummins.
It also doesn't take into any consideration the issues that are now cropping up with the ecodiesel. My good friend bought one and thought it was the best thing. Now he is having issues with the motor (died for no reason at an intersection every day for a week until he could get it in and fluctuating RPM going down the highway) and wants to toss it like a hot potato now.
All the issues now happening with the EcoDiesel and it isn't even a new motor unlike the EcoBoost when it came out.
Even in the new raptor, the ecoboost is revised with several notable improvements. Anyone who prefers out of box performance over sound should be happy with Ford's choice.

noob question...but how fast do the stock A/T tires that come on Raptors wear with traditional on road driving vs "normal" truck and suv tires? I have never had a vehicle that was intended as offroad before.
