2017 Ford Raptor Dash cam and Radar Detector install

Did anyone install Dash cam and Radar Detector in his 2017-18 Ford Raptor yet? If someone did, can you explain how? Any help will be appreciated.

I hardwired my radar detector on my Raptor. It was much harder to do than any car I’ve done before. One reason is the fuse box is in the passenger footwell and worse, the only ground is very difficult to reach. I had to lift up the piece that says raptor, the door sill, to remove the plastic piece hiding the ground.

As for dashcam, while I have one I removed from a prior car, I’ve been using a gopro with a one foot cord to the usb next to the power outlet on dash. Drawback to that is it doesn’t see well at night.

I was considering wiring to one of the switched AUX outlets, I think there are connections below/behind the glove box area. Is that possible/practical.

Why not use your pre wired aux circuits?

Here is the link to a youtube video that I used to install a dashcam and wire it into my fuse box. It wasn't bad at all after watching this and buying the correct parts off Amazon. The guy who made that video also listed the stuff he used.

Just make sure you get the correct sized fuse jumper, connector for the dashcam or radar. The plastic that covers the front lane departure camera pulls off with some gentle pressure once you drop the headliner a little.
