hi Silver-bolt,

did you say a heated steering wheel can be added to a 2017 raptor ? I was told today by a ford dealer that it could not. If you know how it can or where to purchase one with the right parts it would be greatly appreciated.

i am very depressed ! I just assumed that the 2017 802a raptor came with a heated steering wheel like the 2018, but it does not. Never assume.
You can get a heated wheel.
If the one guy on here can put the wheel in a regular f150 and get the paddle shifters to work you can put a heated wheel on. Its just going to take some reading on here. Im not very active on this site and dont know exactly where it is. but Ive seen it on here.

Your used Raptor probably came from a southern climate and thats why you dont have a heated wheel.

you are exactly right. I live in maine. I bought my vehicle in New Hampshire from a ford dealership. The vehicle came from a guy who lived in New Hampshire and Florida. No doubt it is a Florida spec’d raptor. He ordered and bought the truck in Florida but traded it in in New Hampshire. I thought I was getting a great deal at $ 3000.00 under msrp with only 8000 miles 2017, but now I know why they couldn’t sell the raptor in New Hampshire, nobody wanted it without a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.

i should’ve known something was fishy, as even used 2017 raptors are selling for msrp on autotrader.

You can definitely add the heated steering wheel. As said above, it’ll take some searching though the forum. You’ll need a new steering wheel ($400 +/-). I think it requires a new clock spring ($?). You’ll also need access to FORScan to activate the option.

I considered adding it, but with remote start.. that was enough for me. I chose the upgrade to OEM LED headlight with the money.

thank you very much. I will continue researching. Doesn’t the raptor come with LED headlights ?

There is a thread on here, you need a steering wheel, clockspring, wiring, connectors, HSWM and ForScan.
