Funny I was driving my Raptor the other day hearing the drone of the engine/exhaust and was thinking this would be a much nicer ride if it was as quiet as my Eco...My Eco tuned is fast and a lot of fun to drive, granted smaller tires, but weight should be close. Honestly my Eco tuned is way more fun to drive than the Raptor, engine wise anyway, untuned it still is a bit more fun. Suspension wise of course the Raptor wins. Eco is stock other than tune.
Sure it's cool once in a while to hear the engine roar, but to me gets old in a hurry. So much so I don't like using off road mode unless there's a need to hold gears longer (certain climbs, downhill descent). Actually planning on sound lining the cab this spring, and mine's all stock...
The other day a Ford salesman and I were talking about the Raptor and said I didn't hear it from him but said a 5.0 twin turbo with 500 HP...

A 5.0 twin turbo would make 700+ crank on 6lbs -8lbsof boost. Pointless putting the turbos on that motor as a blower would be more cost effective. The new motor will be turbos from borg warner . I will leave it with they are being tested currently by ford and others with close ties I just don't understand people so stuck on cylinders. Let's just say they have a special 6.2 that makes 450hp and 500 lbft of tq around 4500 rpm. On the other hand they have a 1 cylinder motor that makes 600 hp and 700 lbft at 2500rpm the one cyl motor hauls better makes more power and gets better mpg and out accelerates the v8 all day every day. I just don't get people's hang up. This comes from some one who owned a s-trim heads cam intake blown mustang let me add my wife drives a 2014 jeep 6.4 srt. Even if it is slower then my truck lol! No point in making ton of noise and going no where. For what it's worth I promised her if the jeep comes out with a hellcat we can trade hers in.

Last post in here until the dust settles and it all comes out. I'm not going to go get anyone in trouble. I have been very vague for a reason (then again let's go with I'm a crazy person who has no idea what he's talking about to be on the safe side)

God damn crazies lol...not too much longer till we find out. I wouldn't be surprised in the least with a tuned 3.5L. I'm a diehard V8 guy but also like to see "what's next"...and if it's a tuned 3.5l, it should be pretty special...

What about this no one is talking about, 5.0 simply supercharged. That would make easily 525hp+ = trq. I would go for that screw the turbos

As long as it's unique.

Hopefully I'm not disappointed.

I'm planning on a 16.
