2012 vs 2013
So I was planning on ordering a 2013 Raptor in order to get the options I want...but my local dealership gave me 6K off a brand new, race red, 2012 they have sitting on the lot.
Fully loaded, crew cab, nav, sunroof, front and rear cams, etc. My only concern is if I'll be missing out on any 2013 key options like the my ford touch, etc. I'm not too concerned over the HID's as I don't do that much night driving.
Any big features with MFT that I'd be missing out on? I have a 2012 GT500, so I'm already used to the interface in the 2012. For that sort of savings, worth pulling the trigger on a 2012?

6k doesnt seem like much of a discount on a leftover model. especially when there are package deals on XLT's that will knock 7-8k off the price without haggling.
make them an offer. I'd start at $12k off and go from there. every month that truck sits there they are losing money off of it, and now they have 2013's rollin in. trust me they want rid of that truck.

Only difference on the 13's is MFT (redesigned center stack), the availability of Hids with the 801a package, and the availability of Beadlock capable wheels.
Good luck getting a dealer to deal with on the lot Raptors. Best I could get with one on the lot was a few grand off MSRP. I was able to order my 13 back in August at just above invoice.. she's already built, just hasn't been delivered yet..

I have MFT in my 2012 Explorer, and the Sony Nav system in my 2012 F150. Without a doubt I like the Sony system more. MFT has had a lot of bug issues, it has been to the shop twice, and seems "slow" compared to the Sony system.

Not backing the MFT as I've never used it, but.. did you get the latest update? I know they just issued one for the F150's this month.

get the '12. I hate the new center console, I think they made it worse.
and the new headlights arent really that cool looking in person as they are in pictures.
after seeing a few ones in person. Im pretty happy with my 12' and dont want to upgrade to 13' headlights any more

Where I live they want 6k+ above msrp for Raptors. Went to look at a Boss last summer, wanted 15k above msrp. Bought 2 trucks in the past 2 years from the dealer, asked to negotiate a cash deal and they laughed.
