2012 SVT Raptor on its way!
#12
I ordered a 2012 black Scab about 3 weeks ago. Guess I need to put my 2009 FX4 up for sale soon. Hopefully will see the Raptor around Christmas. I got mine from a local dealer that matched what Randy was offering so I went with them since I have bought trucks from them before. I did talk with Randy by email and he is extremely knowledgable and seems very straight forward. I talked to a lot of dealers, some won't deal at all and some will. Gotta shop around for sure.

Wow...Interesting that a dealer would match that pricing....Very interesting....I would think they would be trying to get premiums for a little while since there are still 2011's hanging around. What dealership was this? You should post up on Raptorforumz.com

Who knows if there will be a Raptor available in 2013? With the new gas mileage requirements required for vehicles in 2013, 2012 may prove to be the last year. Who knows though, may be a loophole in the legislation. One thing is for sure, 2013 will definitely be more expensive than the previous years. My opinions obviously.

The "loophole" is the limited production run of the vehicle. If a vehicle is under a certain number for yearly production (3600 units IIRC) then they avoid the CAFE standards and gas guzzler taxes, etc. I remember reading something about it on Autoblog.
To the OP, congrats!
