Yes. STS produces a good product, more expensive than DIY but a viable option.

Yea it cost more but it saves alot of time because you dont have to hunt down parts or fab stuff up.

...or look around for a Mercury Marauder, Lightning or Harley Edition (older body style) engine...finding an engine that makes pretty good hp to begin with is cheaper than starting with a 4.6 boat anchor like we have in our trucks and trying to make it powerful..I was going to go a bit nuts and do my 4.6 up but have decided to just drive it.

You can throw a wheel-barrel of money into that engine and get it to what a Lightning is stock...

First drop the 4.6. Get a 5.4 and put a blower on it or do the turbo. 4.6 is a slug.

They do sell a universal fit one that you can mount where ever you like. And it should come with enough pipe to put it anywhere youd like.

No they offer universal kits that work on any vehicle just look on there page and there should be a button that says universal kits. My buddy has a kit from them and his truck is the same year and has the same engine as you.

I dont think there are any bolt on kits for the 4.6. Otherwise just swap in a lightning engine and be done with it.

Sorry everyone about the repeat postings, my computer has been freaking out.

I know that a turbo creates alot if internal engine heat, so what should I do about that? should I use an inter cooler? and will I need Forged Internals? jw
