Had it with Ford COP's
Admittedly, I have about 200,000 miles on my 2001 F150. I love it except for the sequential reoccurring problem with the coil packs. It started at about 50,000 miles and I get to change one every so often. I just had one replaced that only had 30,000 miles on it. Yes, all I have replaced have been Ford parts and replaced by Ford. I have owned Fords all my life, but this will be the last one.
My father traded his F150 with about 50,000 on it because of what I believe was a COP going bad. At 78 years of age and after having been a Ford owner all his life, he didn't buy another Ford. Following my father's lead, my brother just bought a new truck and it wasn't a Ford.
So, if Ford thanks they can dismiss these types of problems without people doing something different, they are wrong. I hope enough people tell their story so that they will do something to correct the situation, because I am also (currently) a Ford stock owner.
