I test drove a lifted F150 that had true duals, cats hollowed out and 40 Series Flowmasters before I bought mine. This thing rumbled like a dragster even at an idle. Driving it you couldn't even hear yourself think! That's why I decided to go with the 5) Series. It was a dual exhaust kit either out the back or to the sides behind the rear tires. I went with straight out the back. Came with Flowmaster tips too... however I'm gonna be upgrading to larger tips soon. The Flowmaster ones almost look too small... and plus I like the look of the sharp 45 degree cut ones. Just personal preference... Check out an album in my profile for pics of how it looks from the back.

I have a borla exhaust with the K&N cold air intake and ford racing ceramic coated headers on my 03 5.4L f150 and I think it sounds awesome. Im not really a fan of super loud sound that the flowmaster puts out, the borla has more of a low rumble sound. It is more pricey but I think it is worth the money.

Every review ive ever seen for borla was great, but i guess im just too big of a rednek for that cause all i got is an orig 40 flowmaster on mine (no cats) and i dont think its loud enough. Thinking bout going to straights or glasspacks. mines a '90 with a 5.0 though

I'll tell you right now the headers are not worth the hassle they are to put on but I got mine from this website: http://www.dagostinoracing.com/
They told me it was pretty limited supply, so I dont know if they are still available. Another brand worth looking into is JBA if you r really set on doing headers. I have heard long tube headers are worth the hassle but they are not street legal.
