Default 89 f150 5.8

I have a 89 f150 with a 5.8 and truck runs great but when I give it gas in park or In gear it has a loud air sound it drowns out my exhaust I cant tell if it's blowing out or sucking in air any ideas please help. It even drowns out my tires goin down the road

Well either you have a massive vacuum leak whereby your idle would be through the roof and the truck would pull through the breaks, or your intake hoses to your throttle body have come loose. Your truck is a speed density system that relays on a MAP sensor so it can function without the the air intake being hooked to the filter. Your silencer on the air filter housing, if it was still there, may have come loose as well.
