Default Little bit of help with engine swap

I have a 2003 Supercrew 2WD and recently it began to consume some coolant. I did the exhaust gas check on the coolant tank and confirmed my thought that it is a head gasket. I purchased a 25,000 mile 5.4 from a 2003 F250 a friend of mine had acquired back in 2005 to use in a street rod. From the looks of things and my reading posts on the net, this is a non EGR engine.
I have several questions I'm hoping that some of you know the answers to.
1. If I do an intake and exhaust manifold swap will that take care of the lack of an EGR problem?
2. If I leave the F250 oil filter mount on, will it clear the frame on a F150?
(I don't care for the stock oil filter location and would prefer to leave it where it is mounted on the F250 5.4 engine or replace the filter mount with the older type that has the filter behind the bumper)
3. The F250 5.4 came with a block heater, do they work pretty well? (I live in Colorado and lately we have been having some winters where the overnight temps get below zero)

Well the truck has been sitting for over a year now and I finally have time to work on it, does anyone have any thoughts or answers to my questions?
Thanks
