4r70w leaking into extension housing
 

i have oil leaking into my extension housing, not sure from where though. the seal looks ok in the transfer case and its newer looking fluid so that means the fluid is coming from the transmission bc the fluid in the transfer case looks old. i have not changed the oil in the transfer case so the leak must be coming from the transmission is what I'm thinking. I dont see any seal on the transmission side so i am lost on where it could be comeing from. thank you
