Default 351w coolant temp.

I have a 351w from an '84 F150 I tore it all apart to clean it up to put it in my 1969 Falcon wagon, as I had It apart I got aluminum GT-40X heads, aluminum roller rockers, new lifters, pushrods and camshaft that specs at Duration 292/292, Lift .479/.479, edelbrock airgap intake, 750cfm carb, hooker comp headers, HEI ignition, electric fuel pump. i got it put in my car and running great, but its running around 230F. what would be normal operating temp for this? if anymore info is needed I have it all. thanks

Gas engines typically run best in the 200-210 range. I would say 230 is high and needs to be adjusted by either a lower thermostat or more cooling capacity.

"More cooling capacity" The radiator for a Falcon don't cut it. If I remember right, single row and 12 inches wide. YUK!
