When in 4L, does not shift out of first
I have a 2016 4x4 f150, I do not have limited slip. When I shift to 4L use, the pickup does not shift out of 1st gear to 2nd at all. Just stays in first, so going slowly. Is there a certain rpm that it should shift in 4L. It seems to function ok in 4H, shifting thru the gears normally.
Thanks Tim

Well, I have not gotten any responses yet but I found this in the owners manual, page 196.
"In 4x2, 4x4 Auto, and 4x4 High modes, the electronic locking differential will automatically disengage at speeds
above 25 mph (41 km/h) and will automatically reengage at speeds below 20 mph (32 km/h).
• In 4L (4X4 low), the electronic locking differential will automatically disengage at speeds above 62 mph
(100 km/h) and will automatically reengage at speeds below 56 mph (90 km/h)."
I cannot imagine going 62 mph in 4L, must be an awful whine and high rpms.

I guess no one here uses 4low or no one is reading it. In any case, I figured it out, it will shift in 4 low but takes a while.
Thanks anyway
