hi all fellow v6 ers. as you may or may not know from my previous posts. I purchased my 02 sc (75k miles) from my sis. and since she bought it new the truck has had an annyoing sound like a lifter and nobody has been able fix it (dealer under warranty and now mechanics) for good they fix it and the ticking goes away and then comes back. but 75k miles and it runs like new. is this normal on the 6 cyl? I don't know what it is because i've never taken it it was always my sys taking it. would lucas oil help quiete the engine. its not loud just not what i like to hear in an engine.

I'm new here, but I have had my 02 4.2l XLT SC since 04 and has always had thats slight ticking noise, I have 145k on mine now and still get about 19mpg hwy i just ignore the noise its not all that loud to concern me yet.
