Default single turbo 3.7 F150?

I've owned and built turbo 5.0 mustangs and my last foxbody had a turbo LSX swap so I'm pretty fluent in forced induction..

Has anyone considered a conservative single turbo system for the 3.7?.. not for max power performance but for towing? I'm looking into it and since my warranty is up and my 2011 is almost paid off I'm not interested in buying an EB or 5.0...I'm thinking a single t4 flange 60mm internally gated turbo on say 7-8 Psi would really wake the truck up.. thoughts?

Great Idea but too big.. I'd 52mm-54mm internally gated ball bearing setup. 9-10 psi intercooled will give 7-8 at the engine. Should waken it up, but i am unsure of the integrity of the bottom end.. The smaller charger will light off really quick and should move plenty of air for the 3.7 thru out the rpm range. I know on my last turbo setup which was a 4.8 ls base in a Mustang was only running a 64mm and it moved plenty of air and stayed on the island of the compressor map.

The good folk at MPT and Bomber teamed up to turbocharge a 3.7 Mustang. Now, that particular build is far from conservative, but either (or both) companies would be a good source of info and guidance. They're both extremely well-versed in all things boost related.

Be worth the phone call.
