Default P1151 Help

OK so I have a 2000 ford f-150 with a 4.2L and a 5 Speed.
The truck has 151,000 Miles on it. Last week it threw the code P1151 and thats the only code its thrown, I have checked for intake leaks, put plugs in it and wires. The truck still gets 20 plus MPGs and i just dunno where else to look Ive, searched the threads here a number of times and found semilar post but people with alot more problems and horrible gas milage so any help here would be greatly appriciated thanks.

I got a new code today P0153 02 sensor circuit slow response bank 2 sensor 1, as i posting this means anything because I have received no help at all..... I'm assuming this is just going to be a simple oxygen sensor problem because drive ability has not been affected if anyone has any other ideas it would be appreciative if not I'm still where I started thanks

At this point, you can rule out vacuum leaks if it's only on one bank. You're looking at either a faulty O2 sensor or an exhaust leak.

Thank you, I can't hear any exhaust leaks and I sprayed around the intake to check for leaks and nothing. I was assuming it was the 02 sensor just wasn't 100% sure

Codes mean the 1st O2 sensor nearest the motor on driver side is bad.

Best of luck getting it off. Bump your threads back to front page when you need to.

When your Thread in the forum leaves the first page just inter "bump" to put it back on top of the page. That way you get a better chance at a response. Also you can navigate to the search box and type in questions and ask for pictures and videos. There is a wealth of knowledge at your key strokes. Checking out a few entries can help. Soaking the O2 with PB Blaster and warming it up and soaking it again can help with a stubborn one to break it loose. You may have to cut off the wires to get closer to the hex with a wrench and a bar on it.
