My 4.9 just died and will not start

Okie.
To check if injectors are working pull all spark plugs and have someone in the cab cranking it over if you smell gas they are working... Check for spark also. And starter. Basically run through all the basics

Old blue,
You most likely have a fuel pressure problem. Check the pressure when you are trying to start the truck. If it drops off when you are trying to start the truck it is most likely the pressure regulator.

When the truck is trying to start the computer completes the injector circuit by grounding. If the TPS is sensing WOT the injectors won't fire. You can test the TPS with an ohmeter (good) or with a voltmeter (better). It uses a 5v ref voltage with closed throttle being about 1v and WOT 4.8v, (thats what it is on my 95).

kick panel by passenger right foot, switch has red button on it, reset it to get fuel pump working.
