help - swap a 92 4.9 into 93 302 truck
hey guys, new to the forum. please forgive me and point me in the right direction if this has been covered. i've tried to find some info and have a little but i keep finding threads on the opposite of what i have to do.
i have a 92 f150 2wd automatic single cab long bed with the 300 straight six. great truck, love it. I have acquired very cheaply a 93 f150 4x4 5 speed single cab long bed with no motor. it had a 302 in it. for my purposes a four wheel drive would suit me a whole lot better. what all is involved in swapping the 300 into the 302 truck?
i've heard you need to change the motor mounts and the perches on the frame, and that the motor will bolt up to the trans, other than that i dont know. i'm not much of a mechanic but my buddy is pretty good and he has a garage with all his tools.
