95 F150 300-6

22-24 mpg Highway

20-22 mpg city driving

When I got the truck it got 13 mpg consistent and ran ok...

Full tune up with Autolite Platinum Plugs and brass cap and rotor +1 mpg

160 T-Stat over the factory 195 stat +3 mpg

Timing Bump from 10deg to 16 degrees + MSD box + 4 mpg

E_fan upgrade +2 mpg

these were all highway driving gains...

even over winter I got 19city/21highway driving... I think mostly due to the 7 x 100# sandbags I had over the axle for weight...

19 MPG combined when I first got my '88 EFI 300i-six/manual 5-spd. It's dropped off to around 13-15 with a burnt (I think) valve.

Default mileage

Many say that the v6 and v8 get approx. the same mileage and that its not condiderable but from what i've read there is a difference of 2-4 miles per gallon more. and if we average it out at 2.5 miles more per gallon times the gallons in a tank or better yet times the life of the engine or at least 100k miles times the current price per gallon it really adds up. why is that?

17 mixed driving. 3" lifted v6 manual with stock gears (3.5 I think) and 285/75/16. couple of loaded trips too. i guess that pretty good. it does have a drop in kn filter and flowmaster. I don't abuse it but I don't baby it either. I just drive..

Default mileage

LOUSY mileage. 12 - 13 around town. Have not taken a highway trip on it yet, nor checked while towing my boat. I am testing a tank of ethanol free, 87 octane. Owner's manual states e-free gas MAY result in better mileage. I sure hope so.
