3.7 exhaust?
Has anyone done anything with their exhaust on the 3.7? Just curious. I've searched for this a few different ways, but have not seen anything productive. I'm not sure what I want, but is it worth it?

The Muffler man told me there isn't any gain in performance with an exhaust change. Just put a nice tip on it and enjoy the muscle. It has a 2 5/8" exhaust. He recommended dual outlet exhaust muffler and rear outlet exhausts with 18" stainless tips for cosmetics only. Check out "2011 f150 exhaust," thread from 11/11 on tru dual magnaflo instal and tip on x pipe instal for better sounding machine.

3.7 v6 exhaust
I have a 2011 f150 3.7 v6. I had the truck for a few weeks and replaced the stock exhaust with magnaflow true duel performance exhaust x pipes coming out the side infront of the rear tire just like the lightning. After The guy at the custom truck exhaust place installed my new exhaust, he said my v6 is the most aggressive v6 he has ever heard that sounds good and not like a dying jonh Deere or a jap crap car. It has a nice rumble just idling and cruzing it turns heads, and when I stomp on it she just roars and still sounds fantastic!. I get asked about it all the time from other people. And I really noticed a hp gain from having a less restrictive system. I raced my buddies stock 3.7 and time and time again I always beat him from a roll or a stop. So yes there is a hp gain from getting true duel exhaust.

if you don't mind me asking, what was the $$$ for that whole thing? I did Magnaflow cat back on my SRT-4, and I don't know if it did anything for Hp, but it did sound a hell of a lot better than any of the other ones I used to hang out with.

Three of us have 2011 F150's, all with factory exhaust.
(1) 5.0 SCREW Short Bed 4X4
(2) 3.7 SCAB Reg Bed 4X2
(3) 3.7 RC Reg Bed 4X2.
For some reason, all agree that my 3.7 RC has the best sounding exhaust at idle. The other two are basically quiet where mine does have a descent rasp.
Anyone know why? The shorter exhaust maybe?
Anyone? Anyone?.
Anyway I am quite pleased with my exhaust note, idle or banshee wide open.
And the modification above does sound good. The secret is too sound aggressive, but at the same time not be annoying. Well done.
