This is a little old but I rotate every 3-5k (US) miles religusly. So about every 6k kilometers maybe you said you rotated and I missed it but if you don't rotate for 30km or 18k miles no wonder they are feathering. Lack of maintenance and ford did not make the tires keep that in mind. Rotate every 6k kilometers and change or oil at the same time and the our truck will last for a lonnnng time fluid changes and minor maintanence will go a long way. Besides oil (use the best something like mobile 1 or equivalent) use ford oem parts, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, etc...

I saw a diesel owner 450k miles asked him the secret he said oil changes every 3k miles, regular coolant changes and fuel filter changes every 15k miles. Better believe I'm a believer.

Still having issues with my truck... 2016 F150 XL 2.7l ecoboost 4x4 SCrew FX4, truck began chirping around where the passenger side turbo is, the sound gets worse as the truck heats up, doesn't matter the RPM range, it chirps and sounds like bad skateboard bearings... had taken it to the dealership about a month ago, said they heard it in the bay when I dropped it off, left and went home, then when I called later they said it wasn't making the noise anymore, so I picked it up and it started chirping about 2 miles down the road from the lot, like they lightly lubed it up or something so it wouldn't make the noise at the dealership when I came to pick it up (I know it sounds paranoid, just had a shady experience) been busy with work, but finally have time to make another appointment, hoping they fix it... anyone else been dealing with this? I feel like I've read on here before of someone complaining about the exact same thing, I wonder if Ford might issue a recall if it's a prevalent problem? Any tips?

How many miles / hours are on your engine?

I have 5,068 miles and around 160 hrs, haven't had time to check for blue smoke or to see if she's burning oil, nice buildup of carbon on the exhaust tip, but maybe only slightly more than I would expect, I understand there's issues with the amount of boost this thing makes and the chance of oil being run into the intake via the return lines, also haven't had time to disassemble the intake portion to look for oil near the TB... anything I should be doin until I get an appointment to get it looked at?

It's a brand new ****ing truck and it really pisses me off that I'm having issues with it, had absolutely no problems with my 2008, and barely breaking this bitch in and it's already having issues, I hope the dealer doesn't gip me again and they actually look at it this time..

Moreover, I think it's ****ty that if it's the same issue most other 2.7's sometimes run into, that Ford should be the one fitting the bill for a ****ing $200-$400 ****ing catch can... sorry for the anger folks😊😊

Most dealerships have certain technicians that are good at certain things. As common as these engines are getting, the techs will have to start brushing up their skills on them even if they would rather be working on something else.
If they don't solve your issue by your next visit, I would go find a dealership that can.
