Default Tow block removal?

I have a 08 Limited with the towing package and I already have the 2" drop shackle installed and I was wondering how to remove the tow block? Also since I have the drop shackles already would I need to install shims since that would lower my rear about 3 inches now. If anyone has pics of drop shackles and the block removed can you please post them, don't matter the year just 04-08 body style would be prefered, thanks.

You unbolt the leaf spring u bolts, take out the block and bolt it back down. It is highly recommended that you replace the u bolts! To be honest plenty of people every day don't and never have an issue. It is a great idea to spend the extra money get some u bolts though.

If there's any issue you , pretty sure you can get a stock FX2 shim for it.
The FX2 don't have block, lowering shackle and a shim.

3" in the back and no drop in the front: the truck would be sagging in the rear :|

My block is exactly 1" and I currently have the Belltech drop shackles, from center of rim to top of fender F-(20 1/2") B-(21 1/2") if I can get the block out the back would then be (20 1/2") correct or would it end up being a little lower?
