Traction bars are a must. I thought my rear end was coming out in 1st to 2nd shifts before I put mine on.

Well it took blowing it apart yet again to finally get it right. I built the 5-6* into the McGaughys flip saddles but I still had a driveline vibration from ~18-26 mph. I wound up buying the DJM flip kit to get their adjustable saddles out of it. Those are thicker than I wanted on the bottom side so I went to work with a carbide bit and made the saddle opening deeper to tuck the axle down another 1/4”. It’s FINALLY right. Zero vibrations at any speed and it sits perfect. Fender to ground measurements are 33 3/8” up front and 33 7/8” out back...just enough rake to make it look right and not low enough that it bottoms out all the time.
It was a pain in the *** and expensive but it’s finally how I want it.
Rear parts list:
DJM axle saddles
McGaughys shock extenders
Crown lift shackles
Hellwig swaybar with shortened end links
Viking D220 double adjustable shocks
Stifflers traction bars.
Energy Suspension button head bump stops
Custom 5/8” u-bolts

I’m not touching it again. Well...I am thinking about a mini notch in the frame but that doesn’t count. lol

I wish I could drive my truck down from Waco and drop it off with you to work your suspension magic on.

sorry to revive an old thread, do you know the part number or exact specs of your Viking D220 shocks you used? I have an 18 Screw XLT with Belltech 1000sp kit and hate the way the rear hops and bounces right now. Tried to order the Vikings at my local shop and they asked the part number or specs?
