Default pinion shim install ??

I have these to be installed on my '13 f150 with a 2" shackle
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sp...rd/model/f-150

Note they have a slot and a center pin hole. Would it be ok to just slide the shim in using the slot or does it need to be secured into the center pin hole?

Am i right in thinking it can be done either way since they are made with the slot and center pin hole?

Also, are you guys using longer center pins or are they not necessary on such a small degree shim?

This may help, or it may not. I've been lucky enough so far to not shim anything. Which means...no experience, haha. I looked around some but didn't find anything definitive other than this article which is on a 2006. Picture #4 might give some insight.

See if this helps any.

I'm thinking it may be around 90-95 lb/ft.
You should shoot tony a PM (DJMBelltech Direct)- he would know for sure.
